Bus Field Trip departs Queensbury Hotel, Glens Falls

STOP 1
Carrying Place 1693-1706 and site of Clinton’s Ditch 1819 Champlain Canal around rapids.

STOP 2
Champlain Barge Lock 6 and Enlarged Lock 13.

STOP 3
Stark’s Knob

STOP 4
Schuylerville Basin and Enlarged Champlain Aqueduct No.1 Fish Creek.

STOP 5
 Barge Lock 5 and Junction Lock

STOP 6
Enlarged Champlain Lock No. 12 (Bassett’s) on right.

STOP 7 
Lunch: Anvil Inn

STOP 8
Junction Lock and Enlarged Champlain Aqueduct No. 4-Little Wood Creek

STOP 9
Glens Falls Feeder Canal Lock 14 (Guard Lock) and Dam
Bike trip along Feeder Canal if desired.

STOP 10
Glens Falls Feeder Canal Lock No. 13 on left and Lock 12 a short distance on right

STOP 11
Enter Feeder Canal Park. Lock No. 11 on right beneath Burgoyne Avenue Bridge and Combined Locks 6 and 10 ahead

Sunday, May 22

10 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.
Cruise on the Champlain Canal on the m/v Caldwell Belle. A four-hour cruise departing at 10:00 am from Lock C5 in Saratoga, NY will proceed north passing through the entire Phase GE/Parsons dredging operation and continue on to reach the spoil processing site in Fort Edward before returning south to Lock C5. Directions will be provided to you at the Hotel. Coffee will be available on the boat shortly after departure. A buffet lunch will also be provided.
