Saturday, May 7 - Bus Field Trip Program

8:00 a.m.
Bus Field Trip Departs at 8 AM sharp from Hotel Lobby


STOP 1
Erie Basin, Coit Slip, Peacock Slip & Irish Famine Memorial


STOP 2
Walking Tour of Buffalo’s Canalside District, including Central Wharf, Commercial Slip, recreated Main and Hamburg Canal, and the Buffalo & Erie County Naval and Military Park.


STOP 3
Erie Canal Historic Marker – River Road, Tonawanda


STOP 4
Tonawanda Gateway Park Tour, including Long Homestead, Remington Lofts, Barge Canal Warehouse and Webster Street Block


Noon – LUNCH – STOP 5
Lunch (included in cost of registration) at Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruises


CRUISE
Board Lockview VI for cruise through Lockport Locks and Deep Cut Depart Lockport
Locks & Erie Canal Cruises


STOP 6
Arrive at Lockport Locks for demonstration of Restored Erie Canal Locks 69 & 70. The walking tour will include the abandoned raceway on the south side of the Lockport Locks and a guided tour of water turbines in Old City Hall and Historic Mill Race building.


Evening Program
Cash bar at 6:30 p.m. at Adam’s Mark Hotel. Dinner will follow at 7:30pm.
